We went to Chicago at the end of February to see an outdoor ice exhibit with some friends of ours. We ended up going to Ed Debevic's for lunch first - below are a few pictures of Jack with his hat on - so sweet! Jack was 8 1/2 months old here sitting in the high chair like a big boy!

Jack's First Valentine's Day
Well it was Valentine's Day yesterday and our poor peanut Jack is sick with his first cold. Poor guy - he's sniffly, runny nose, cough, and absolutely hates it when you wipe his nose with a tissue or use the aspirator in his nose - but it has to be done. He gets Tylenol and extra fluids - poor baby. We didn't do much for Valentine's Day - just hung out at home - I made lasagna and a triple chocolate cheesecake which were amazing! Jack sent me a card and also sent a card to Daddy. If you look at the post below - that's the card we sent to some of our family and friends. I'll be posting a few more pictures in a new post but here are a couple of Valentine's photos we did - they didn't all turn out great because Jack was feeling really horrible. Hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's!

Another tooth for Mr. Jack
Well on Jan, 25 another one of Jack's bottom teeth cut through. Now when he bites it really hurts!! He's so much fun now - we absolutely love this age. He laughs constantly - especially if you tickle his sides or make noises at him - or if you hit his hand with one of his toys or even just your own hand - he laughs so hard. It's adorable! No crawling yet but he'll get there. He rolls over and moves enough to get where he wants to go and that's fine by him. Definitely don't want to rush him. In the bath the other night, he loves splashing and playing with all of his toys but he got a little carried away and ended up putting his whole face in the water - boy was he screaming!! But he got over it. He's such a little ham - you say hi to him, he gives you a huge smile, even at strangers in the store. In less than 5 weeks we'll be leaving for England - this little guy is going in a car, bus, plane and then a train. We think he'll be just fine because he's so used to going out with us all the time - but time will tell. No need to stress out about it. I've been lacking in taking photos - so I have to get going on that. This weekend is Jack's cousin Owen's 3rd Birthday so we're heading up to Fond du Lac for that. We'll post some photos from that. We'll post again soon!!
Some of Jack's firsts
First baby tooth!!!!
Jan 10 2008
We have a visual on Jack's 1st baby tooth! It's so exciting and yet so bittersweet that our little miracle is growing so fast. I felt a ridge on his bottom gum so I took a look, well once Jack stopped acting silly because he didn't like me looking, and there's a tiny little tooth sprouting!!

I finally figured it out - how to roll from my back to my tummy and it was so exciting - I didn't realize what I'd done until Mommy freaked out and was clapping for me. I felt so proud and I know Mommy was too. She even got it on video!
First time you had rice cereal
Oct 18. 2007

July 8 - 3 weeks 4 days
We drove all the way to House on the Rock in Spring Green, Wisconsin which is about a 2 hour drive - you slept all the way there - woke up to eat when we first got there, then slept through some of the bits. We sometimes forget that you're with us cuz you often don't make a sound! We all had a lot of fun and can't wait to take you back there when you're older and will actually remember it. You slept all the way back home and we went out to dinner and you let us all eat first before you started crying for some food - you are such a good little boy!
