Big news for Jack!

Our little man who is growing up way too quickly took his first unassisted steps today!! We were sitting on the living room floor and having him walk back and forth to one another - well he got gutsy and ended up taking about 3-4 steps on his own!! All he needs to really get moving is balance - he hasn't quite figured that out yet. We really don't think he'll crawl at all - he's just not interested. He'd rather be walking and cruising around the furniture. He'll move himself on his butt as well - it's so cute to watch. Jack also has 6 teeth now!! 2 on top and 4 on the bottom - the last 3 came in really fast and all at once. Next weekend is Jack's 1st birthday party - we're getting excited for that. We have some last minute details to work out but it should be a very special day. We can't wait!!

Trip to the eye doctor

Jack had his first eye appointment today. Through the InfantSEE program - it was a free eye appt and they just look over his eyes and make sure things look okay. They can't do all of the tests that we get as an adult - but he sat on Mark's lap and let the dr do her thing. His eyes look perfect and we don't need to go back until his 3rd birthday.

ANOTHER TOOTH!!

Well another tooth on the bottom was quite the surprise when I looked into Jack's mouth this morning. It's already half way out!! I can't believe I didn't see it before! So now our little man has 5 teeth!!! We see that many of you who visit Jack's blog don't leave any comments - we'd love to hear your thoughts on pictures and videos and if there's anything else you want to know about...let us know!!!

We're back from Florida!!!

We had a great time in Florida - Jack is certainly becoming a seasoned traveler. He just goes with the flow and as long as there's food and toys for him, he's happy. He finally has his top front teeth - they cut a few days ago - they're still giving him a few problems though because only 1 side of each tooth has made it through the skin - but they'll cut through completely soon.

Jack absolutely adored the swimming pool - he loved kicking his legs and moving his arms. It was so cute. He also had his first meeting with ducks - and he got a kick out of it. Here's the video of Mark and Jack feeding the ducks.
