Mark and I have been married for 8 years on the 1st. 8 years really flew by. I had another dr's appt on the 1st - my BP was 100/70 again which seems to be pretty standard for me. Now I go to the dr every week - it's becoming more and more real and this pregnancy totally passed me by. I only took 2 belly photos so far and with Jack I took one every month. I guess that's what happens though with the 2nd baby, cuz once you have one baby, you don't have the time to do everything you did while pregnant with the first.
Jack's 3rd Birthday party was a hit - I made him a Yo Gabba Gabba cake and it turned out really well. He loved it. We had YGG decorations and it was supposed to be really hot the day of his party, but it turned out beautiful. He had a few friends from his MDO class stop by and his teacher stopped by. He thought it was great. There were quite a few people that didn't make it and didn't tell me they weren't coming - so we've decided that for Jack's birthday next year, we're just going to do a mini vacation and go somewhere where we know Jack will have a great time, like the Dells, or a waterpark or something. I guess I'm to the point where I want to celebrate my kids' lives and not have to worry about who's coming and who's not to their party. Too stressful.
My last day of work is the 21st - can't believe it. That's in 2 days! It'll be sad to leave, but I will be back in September and I'm sure those 3 months will fly by. And then it'll be even harder to leave both my kids with a brand new sitter! My scheduled C-section is for June 28 at 7.30 am, which means we have to be at the hospital for 5.30. Ugh..at least no 34 hours of labor this time. We're so excited to meet her and even more excited to see how Jack reacts to her. Will keep you posted!!

May 2010
My boys were so good to me on Mother's Day - I got flowers, a basket full of goodies and some power tools!! Hahaa..some of you may think power tools aren't a great gift - but let me tell you - I wanted them sooo bad and was so happy to have them!
We've been working on baby girl's room putting up wainscoting...what a nightmare - but it'll look great when it's done.
Jack's been going to my friend Allison's house for the month and is having fun there. They live on a farm and have 3 other kids. There's been a few days when he's been able to go back to Francine's as well, so this month is working out well as far as sitters' go. I was full of stress when I didn't know who was going to watch my little boy.
We've been going to the dr every 2 weeks now and baby girl's HB is always perfect and found right away. They even let Jack help with the doppler and he gets a kick out of it. My blood pressure has been around 114/66 which is great. Not too many problems with swelling yet, though I know when I start to swell to take it easy and put my feet up and relax. Sometimes I find it hard with Jack though because I want to play with him as well - but he's actually been really good about it and knows that Mommy has to rest.
Jack has a little program at Mother's Day Out and it was so precious. They sang all the songs they learned since the beginning of the school year and had little hand motions to go along with it. It was so cute. Jack saw me and kept waving and then told his little friend Noah that I was his mom. It was adorable - Mark wasn't able to make it because it was on a Thursday night so I videoed some of it. Then there was an ice cream social after that which was nice.
His last day at MDO was the 26th - was kinda sad and bittersweet - already old enough to have a last day at school. My baby's getting too big too fast!
Went up to Mom and Dad's for Memorial Day and had a good time just hanging out and relaxing. The boys were able to play outside and have fun. We had a cookout and the following day had brunch at Gma and Gpa's apartment complex. Jack was the life of the party, as usual. Pretty soon it's his 3rd Birthday - it's a Yo Gabba Gabba theme this year. I can't even believe he's gonna be 3!!! I still remember the day he was born like it was yesterday!

April 2010
These months are just flying by. Jack is enjoying Mother's Day Out immensely. He is having so much fun and learning so much. He amazes us everyday with new words and comments. He loves to sing and dance - anything to do with music he loves. When we're in the car - and he hears Lady Antebellum's song "Need You Now," - he knows it within the first 2 beats and starts singing away - same with Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi." - maybe it's just the artist's whose name starts with lady - he is a ladies man for sure!
We went up to Gramma and Papa's for Easter and had a good time. Jack and Owen played on the Powerwheels 4 wheeler and Gramma planned an easter egg hunt for the boys - they had so much fun looking for eggs. And looked very handsome in their Easter best!
We got to schedule another ultrasound to see our baby girl on 4/13. She was sucking on her toes and she's got chubby cheeks just like Jack did. She weighed about 3 lbs at that point. And was about 17-18" long. She looked perfect and it was definitely a positive GIRL shot..there were 3 lines..we can't wait to meet her! I got my rhogham shot as well a couple days after that.
We lost our sitter for the month of May, so Mark had to use up his last week of vacation the end of the month so we could find a replacement. So the boys got to bond during that week and had a good time.

March 2010
Jack ended up getting pretty sick this month so the potty training went out the window. He was no longer interested. We'll try again soon - no point in pushing him to do something he doesn't want to do.
I had my 1 hr Glucose on 3/19 and ended up failing it by 12 pts. Which meant I had to do the 3 hr on 3/27. So there I sat at the clinic for 3 hours after drinking that awful drink and getting my blood drawn every hr. Mark was great enough to come with me while Jack and Gramma stayed home. Gramma came down to visit cuz Mark and I had a Michael Buble concert to go to that night.
My 3 hr GTT results came back perfect - no Gestational Diabetes here!!! YAY!! The day I had the 1 hr must've been an off day. Baby's been moving like crazy which assures me that all is well.

Rest of February 2010
Well..we decided to start potty training Jack because he seemed ready. So on 2/26 - we put him on the potty and he actually went for the first time!! We were so excited and jumped and danced around and Jack was so pleased with himself. He continued to go on the potty all weekend then and even did it without us reminding him - we were so proud. On Feb 28, Jack got to feel his baby sister move inside my tummy. He looked at me in awe and said "Wow!" He was thrilled. He gives my belly kisses and talks to his baby sister all the time - he's very sweet.
Next up for Bean - 1 hour Glucose challenge test. She is growing right on target and I feel her move more and more everyday.

Baby #2
Well 5 of you voted our Bean would be a boy and 5 of you voted it would be a boy....5 of you were right! Thanks to those who voted!!
It's a GIRL!!!!
We found out at our 21 week ultrasound that we were going to have a little girl! We're absolutely over the moon and can't wait to meet her! It'll be wonderful having a son and a daughter. Everytime we asked Jack if he wanted a baby sister or baby brother, his answer was always a baby sister. So maybe he knew? I had a feeling it was a girl, but would've obviously been thrilled with another boy! Haven't decided on any names yet - so that'll have to wait!!

Florida Trip
We left for Florida early morning on Monday, Feb 8. Jack was in awe of all the airplanes and the word used most often by him was wow!
Finally was ready to board and Jack was ready, pulling his little backpack behind him like such a big boy. Of course we didn't get a picture of that..ugh!
Take off went well...but then the plane tilted to the right and Jack was sitting in his carseat right by the window which was open of course..and he freaked out. Oh no, oh no he kept saying and then he was screaming - poor kid was absolutely terrified. When we were able to get out of the seats Jack was happier. He walked around like he owned the plane. Landing as well freaked him out and he shook like crazy - so I took him out of his carseat and he grabbed onto me with all his strength. Once we landed, happy as a clam. He even got a set of wings straight from the pilot!! He wore it proudly as you can see below!
We got picked up and set off for Grandma and Grandpa's house. It sure was great to see them again! And for those of you reading this who know - we went to Red Lobster for dinner that night...shocking I know!
2/9 - it was nice enough out to swim - it was probably about 75 that day - Jack thought the water was way too cold so he didn't do too much swimming. But he still had fun.
See - he wasn't such a big fan of the cold water..was hanging onto Mark for dear life!
2/10 - took G-ma to her chemo appt-she was there for about 2 hrs, so we drove down to the beach to hang out and get some sun - it was gorgeous!2/11 - drove up to West Palm Beach to go to the Lion Country Safari Park - Jack was in awe of all the different animals walking past the car. It was a fun family day out, just the 3 of us.
Seeing we were only going 5 mph-we thought what the harm to have Jack drive? Just Kidding!!
No - this wasn't because Mark wanted to look like an idiot on this tiny train-Jack was scared to go by himself!
2/12 -took a walk around the neighborhood - they have a great dog park just down the road so we walked down there. Met some dogs, Jack played at the playground to burn off some energy - don't know where he gets it all from - if I had an ounce of it I'd be in good shape.
2/13-Saturday was a day of rest - didn't really do anything but read books, play with Jack and his cars, feed ducks - then out to dinner at the Ale House.
This was Jack's bed for the time we were there-he thought it was great!
My sweet darling boy!
Goofy boy!
2/14-another lazy day for us - it just happened to also be the first day that Mark felt our little girl kick! So that was a wonderful moment! At the time we didn't know that she was a girl though.
2/15-was warm enough to swim again!! Well the water was a bit chilly - but you had to get yourself used to it and then it wasn't bad at all.
2/16 - another family day out, just the 3 of us. Spent it at Butterfly World which is always a treat and at Tradewinds Park which is beautiful.
This butterfly landed right on me! Blended into my top.
2/17 - Took Gma to another chemo appt and drove around to the beach again. Went out to dinner at Big Bear that night - delicious!
2/18 - Day we left..it was sad. We fed the ducks and just cherished the rest of the time we had with Gma and Gpa..vacation went far too quickly. Jack's plane ride home went much smoother than when we went to Florida - we sang songs together to take his mind off of the take off and he actually fell asleep before we took off! Landed in Milwaukee -got to the hotel and picked up the van and we were back in Harvard by 11p.m. - Mom was here to greet us with the dogs!
