I planned a cookie exchange for this year but there were only 3 of us who wanted and could do it. So mom and Jessica made the trip down the first weekend of December. We had far too many cookies and appetizers, but we all had a great time and Jack loved playing with Owen. We all had a lot of laughs.
Then the month went by like a flash and it was already Christmas and I was already in the 2nd trimester. Everything is going well with the baby - energy is still zapped, but I guess having a toddler while pregnant will do that to you. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat though.

Fall 2009 updates
Back in July - Mark and I had an appt to go back to the Fertility Clinic to try and have another baby. So August was filled with a lot of appts and bloodwork and then in September we were ready to have an IUI - unfortunately that one didn't take, so it was try, try again. The end of September I went back on meds to try for an October IUI. In between that and the IUI's, we took a mini-vacation up to a cabin in Door County, just the two of us. We haven't been away from Jack since he was born. So we definitely needed it. We missed Jack like crazy, but it was what we needed as a couple.
So then comes the IUI's..we had those the weekend after. Oct 11 and 12. 2 weeks later, on Oct 23, we found out we were pregnant with our second miracle!! It was definitely the best present I could've asked for, for my 30th Birthday! Soon it was Halloween and Jack made the cutest Scarecrow!! I was a witch and Mark was a pirate. Quite the Motley Crew of costumes! Auntie Jessica had a Halloween Party but it was so cold Jack didn't participate much. and no Trick or Treating either..it was frigid!
November didn't bring in much except the start of the holiday season. Mark was working on Thanksgiving again this year, so it was just me, Jack and the dogs venturing up to FDL. We had a nice time as usual. Then we were back in town on Friday. Ended up going into the city the weekend after but it was so mild and there were thousands of people there it was nuts. We couldn't enjoy what we normally would do, so that was kind of disappointing. And with me being newly pregnant - I was so exhausted and tired all the time.

End of Summer 2009
Well the summer of 2009 ended way too quickly I think. Jack turned 2 and time flew, even more than normal. We were able to take more bike rides this summer though and Jack had a blast. We rode out to Rush Creek park one day and took these next 3 photos which are fantastic! We have photos just like this from a year ago when he was just 1. Unbelievable how fast Jack is growing.

Then we were able to go to our neighbor's house across the street for a lovely swim in the hot weather. Jack loved it and had tons of fun. Looking forward to going to Florida in February 2010.
This is Jack getting caught sneaking into Gramma's fridge-so he flashed me his cheesiest smile.
And this would be Jack getting caught digging into the cereal - you know when your toddler is into something when it's far too quiet.
August 2009 also marked a milestone for us. We signed Jack up for Mother's Day Out 1x a week - we now call it school and he absolutely loves it. Couldn't believe he was old enough to do something like that.
After I picked him up from school - I took Jack to the park to play and have lunch, then went to the library.

Jack's 1st visit to the Milwaukee Zoo
We met Gramma up in Milwaukee and drove to the zoo together. We had been talking to Jack all week about all the animals and fun things he was going to see, so when we got there, he was pretty excited. Little did we know until we got there that we forgot his stroller..so we had to rent one. We all had a wonderful time and Jack talks about the zoo nonstop now!

4th of July weekend
We headed up to FDL for the 4th of July - had a great time, but I ended up getting the flu or something like it and didn't feel so hot all weekend. But the next day we went to Lakeside Park to take Jack on the train and carousel. But not long after that, Jack ended up getting it and then Mark. It was not pleasant.
Lily got into the spirit as well as you can see here - chillin'!
Riding the train with Gramma and Papa having a great time!
